Fence tapes for privacy
A fence tape, braid tape or PVC fence tape is a plastic product that can be used in combination with metal fencing, for example twin wire mesh fencing. Such fencing has a lot of visibility, which is experienced as positive by many. But if you prefer a bit more privacy, a fence tape is the solution. The privacy stick can easily be woven between the meshes of the fencing. The width of the fence tapes is 19 centimeters, so that the 20 centimetre mesh is almost completely filled. In addition: you can decide for yourself whether you braid the fence tapes through the entire Twin wire mesh. Or, for example, only at sight height. In short: the degree of privacy is determined by you. A fence tape is also suitable for Twin wire mesh gates.
The fence tapes are made of durable plastic. The privacy band consists of a robust, flexible plastic strip. This so-called strip is woven through the meshes of the metal fencing. This braiding method shields and closes the metal fencing. A fence tape is suitable for both a twin wire mesh and a v mesh fence.

What are the advantages of this garden fence?
The fence tapes from Fenceonline are made for Metal fences. They fit exactly between the wires of twin wire mesh. We have listed the main advantages of Fence tapes below:
- Of course the primary goal: creating privacy in a cost-efficient way
- Easy to assemble; even if you have the metal fence installed by a professional, you can do the wickerwork yourself
- A durable product – that also applies to the wire mesh fences
- The material is flexible, so applying the fence tape in a corner is no problem
- If the fence tapes get dirty from splashing mud, this can be cleaned quickly and easily
- The product is UV-resistant and colourfast
The fence tapes can be woven from post to post, so in one separate fence. However, the fence tape can also be applied over the entire length of the metal fencing. The rolls cover 50 or 25 metres of tape, so this is a nice option for many jobs.

Securing the fence tapes is done using our special plastic clips. You can mount the clips without tools and without any additional mounting materials. They are therefore easy to mount. We also have these Plastic clips available in the usual colours of our twin wire mesh. You can get them in the colours green, black and grey and also the transparent plastic version.

Wind load and fence cladding
In the Netherlands we are used to the wind. In the coastal areas it is a bit more intense, but gusts of wind and storms return every year in our frog country. A fence panel or fence catches the wind. Even though you might think that a twin wire mesh (as an example) is "open" and therefore spared, this is absolutely not the case. With sufficient wind, even a fence has to endure a lot. When using so-called fence cladding such as privacy tape, you have to be especially careful. Fence tape, willow mats and, for example, bamboo can be hung on The fences. Make sure that the posts are sturdy: use extended posts or ensure that the posts are fixed in concrete. The following points are also important:
- Is it between houses and very sheltered or on open ground?
- Is it in full wind?
- Is the fence two metres high (or only 60 centimetres)?
Use the fence cladding with common sense because it is a wind catcher.
When we carry out the installation of the products you have ordered, we will check whether Fence tape can be woven - with a view to the wind load. If you decide to attach Fence tape (or wind screens, bamboo or other products) to the fence yourself after we have carried out the installation: as Fenceonline we cannot guarantee this.
