Metal Garden round Post | Ø 60 x 1.75 mm
To install fencing, several components are required. In addition to a fence panel, such as a twin wire mesh fence panel and mounting brackets, you also need a post. At Fenceonline, we offer a variety of posts, including rectangular posts60x40 and round metal posts.
Colour Options
Our round metal posts are available in the following colours:
- Black (RAL 9005)
- Green (RAL 6009)
- Grey (RAL 7016)
- Thermally galvanised
This allows the round metal post to be perfectly matched to the colour of the twin wire mesh fence panels.
Durability and Sturdiness
The round posts are designed to be durable and sturdy, ensuring stable fencing once installed. The posts undergo a dual treatment process:
- Galvanisation: Provides a rust-resistant base.
- Powder Coating: Adds a smooth finish in the selected colour.
The zinc layer beneath the powder coating ensures no rust will form, even with minor damage. Any small scratches or slight damage can be repaired using a spray paint.
Compatibility and Installation
Round metal posts are suitable for various types of fencing. For example:
- Twin wire mesh fence panels 6/5/6, available in widths of 2 or 2.5 metres.
- Twin wire mesh fence panels 8/6/8, which are also highly suitable for mounting on round posts.
For optimal results, the round post should be driven approximately 80 cm into the ground using a post driver or installed in a pre-dug hole.
Alternative Solutions for Hard Ground
In situations where it is not possible to embed the round posts (e.g., on asphalt or near a terrace), we offer an alternative solution: metal base plates. In this case, the height of the post should match the height of the fence. Base plates for round posts are available in black, grey, and green to match the fencing.
Attaching Fence Panels
Fence panels are attached to the round metal posts using long-lip brackets, which fit securely around the post for a neat and sturdy finish. We offer three types of long-lip brackets:
- Intermediate bracket: For attaching the post between two fence panels.
- End bracket: For securing the panel to the end post.
- Corner bracket: For mounting panels at corners.
These brackets are available in the same colours as the posts and also in a galvanised variant.
Finishing Touches
Round posts are completed with either a cap or a cap with a hook. For additional stability, the post can be secured with quick-set concrete or regular concrete mortar. This ensures long-term durability for both the post and the fencing, providing stability not only at the time of installation but also in the years to come.
With these features, you can confidently create a secure and long-lasting fence that matches your aesthetic and functional needs.
